Hi friends! Thank you AGAIN for all the love you’ve been giving my Punyus’ posts – messaging me, commenting across social media, and just generally reading makes me feel really honoured. I’m genuinely so excited to share this stuff with you… in case you can’t tell, I’ve got Punyus fever pretty damn bad right now.
Speaking of which, my feature piece today is this amazing egg skirt with soft tulle overlay. I have been GAGGING to get myself some egg-themed stuff because the traditional egg print skirt and top set was the very first thing I ever saw from Punyus, and it just feels like Punyus to me – if that makes sense?
That being said, I must have been there right at the end of the summer stock, so WAH I’M SORRY but I can’t find this particular skirt on the site anywhere. But to try and make amends, here are some other eggcellent items they currently have available. Can I make that eggcellent pun again? No? How about eggcellent eggccessories? Whatever, get some fried egg shit up ya. Also, fried egg earrings that I am SO disappointed in myself for not purchasing. *glares at self*
You may also note that I have a totally rad fried egg tote bag… but guess what? I didn’t buy that (in fact, I didn’t even see them in stores)… my glorious boyfriend WON IT FOR ME in a “UFO CATCHER” game (i.e., Skilltester machine) in Tokyo, the night before we left the country!! First of all I can’t even believe they had Punyus stuff in them things. Secondly, I can’t believe he actually won it – it was in a heavy cardboard box (although to be fair he won quiet a few things in those machines). And THIRDLY, there was a 50/50 chance we’d get the eggs or the strawberries, and we got the eggs! Woooooo!
Anyway, i’ll be quiet and get to it.
On the third day of Punyus, Naomi gave to us – an egg skirt covered in gauze.
(It’s a soft rhyme, shut up.)
THE CUT & FIT
I LOVE this style of skirt, and they’ve done a really good job of putting slightly more tulle than the underlayer, so the top stays billowy and the bottom stays flush. Good job, Punyus! Also FYI, I am 169cm/5’54 and this is how long the thing is on me.
THE QUALITY
Still nothing too exciting to report, although please know that I will either come back and edit these posts as time goes on, or I will do a new post with a full report of quality and longevity. If you have any questions in the meantime, hmu. ( <- a term I recently learned through googling because of a distressing influx of seedy guys on Instagram, saying things to that effect… and worse. Anybody else had an extra large onslaught lately?!)
THE COST
I can’t really remember, but it was a bit of a pricey peach. Maybe around AUD$80. I will definitely be hand washing this little darling!
THE SIZE I’M WEARING
Again I am wearing the size 3, and laid flat the skirt is 63cm stretched. So, around 126cm? Yeah… math.

OTHER OUTFIT DETAILS
TOP: Candy Strike, who went away for a while but has recently (HOORAY) returned! I don’t think she has these tops at the moment, but she has heaps of other cool shit, and who knows what the future holds?!
VEST: Thrifted, but I just found this cute plus size one on Etsy. In fact, the seller, “Thousand Vests” has… well, hundreds of items.
