Hiya! ZOMG how I missed writing a dang blog post! The reason is = new pretty blog!! You may have (hopefully) noticed that this place has had a whole facelift (branding and layout), and i’ve also migrated from Blogger to WordPress (although I don’t expect you to have noticed that!). I guess i’m a big kid now, huh?
Seriously though, I couldn’t be more stoked with how it’s all turned out! It’s taken me a couple of months of consistent work – I did it all myself, and somehow I haven’t pulled out all of my hair. Only some of it.
I sat down and re-evaluated what I want this blog to be, and more than anything, I wish it to be a really valuable resource for body positivity, fat fashion, and alternative style. So, i’ve tried to improve the layout for you, dear reader, and have put a shitload of time and energy into making some pretty kick ass pages that feature indie designers & other places to shop, and a body positive resource list. I will continue to develop those as we travel along.
I’ve also made a page that allows you to shop my style with currently available items because sometimes, by the time I get around to blogging my pieces, they have sold out (or out of most sizes). So this page is a current wishlist of items I wish to own, or plan to own. This way, you can beat me to the punch!
(Beating me to the punch excitement face, yas!)
So, I have to say that I feel pretty cute in this outfit. It’s very rare that I go full rockabilly or whatever you’d call this look, but I felt super cute. Sam and I went to see a play called “Lesbians Eating Quiche” set in a bomb shelter in the 1950’s, so I thought heck, why not?!
Another awesome thing I discovered is that you can, indeed, continue to wear crop tops when it gets a little cooler! Add a singlet underneath, and TADA! added layer of snuggly warmthness. I mean, I don’t think this method would suffice in the dead of winter (there is a coat hiding just out of frame) but hey if we can get a couple of extra crop top-wearing months into the year?!
This skirt is so luscious and warm – it’s like a quilted wool or something delicious. Both the skirt and top are from Tatyana (included under “Vintage/Retro/Pinup” on my Places to Shop page), and in fact, are both still in stock in 3X and 4X! See here (skirt) and here (top).
Can we also take a second to talk about how wicked this bag is, too? It came from Dolls Kill and it really does dolls kill me (see what I did there?) how amazingly 2D it looks, especially in photos. I am just allll about out.

Please feel free to leave me a comment (if my dang comment system has been fixed by the time you’re reading this?!) or contact me and let me know what you think of my new brand and layout, and if there’s anything in particular you’d like to cover in my upcoming posts!
I’d also like to say thanks to Tara O’Brien for doing the illustrations that I used to redesign my brand. She was tremendously helpful and is a never-ending source of talent.
Fierce and love (cos, Tyra),
